Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival into Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you’ll be picked up and taken to your hotel in Arusha. Rest and get ready for the adventure ahead. Spend the night at Venus Premier Hotel, Arusha

Day 2 - Machage Gate to Machame Camp

Travel from your hotel in Arusha to the Machame Gate, where you’ll register and have lunch. Begin your climb through the rainforest, enjoying the fresh air and unique wildlife as you head to the first stop on the trail. Spend the night at Machame Camp.

Day 3 - Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Trek from Machame Camp to Shira Camp as the scenery changes from forest to open moorlands. After lunch, take a short hike higher up to help your body get used to the altitude. Spend the night at Shira Camp.

Day 4 - Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Climb higher as you pass landmarks like the Lava Tower. Then descend slightly to Barranco Camp, giving your body time to adapt. Later, go for another short hike to further prepare for the higher altitudes. Spend the night at Barranco Camp.

Day 5 - Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Start the day with an exciting climb up the Barranco Wall, a steep but fun challenge. Continue to Karanga Camp and take another short hike later in the day to help with acclimatization. Spend the night at Karanga Camp.

Day 6 - Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Make your way to Barafu Camp, the last stop before your summit climb. Take it easy in the afternoon, with a short hike to prepare for the big day ahead. Spend the night at Barafu Camp.

Day 7 - Summit Day

Begin your climb to the summit just after midnight under the stars. Reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, and enjoy the incredible views at sunrise. Afterward, descend back to Barafu Camp for a rest, then continue down to Millenium Camp. Spend the night at Millenium Camp.

Day 8 - Final Descent

Complete the last leg of your descent to Mweka Gate. Celebrate your achievement and return to Arusha for some well-deserved rest. Spend the night at Venus Premier Hotel, Arusha.

Day 9 - Departure

Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home, ending your unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure. You can consider extending onto a magical Tanzania safari experience or rejuvenating on the sandy beaches of Zanzibar!

Tour Terms & Conditions

Airport Transfers

The package includes one airport pick-up and one drop-off, regardless of whether your group has 1 or 7 people. If you’re traveling as a group, please coordinate your flights so that they arrive/depart together, or plan for the first arrival to wait for the rest. This is because the cost covers one vehicle for pick-up and drop-off. If this arrangement doesn’t suit your needs, you can request additional transfers for an extra fee.

Transfers to/from the Mountain

Transportation to and from the mountain will be shared within your group only. No one outside your group will share these transfers.

Meals

Meals on the mountain are fully included in the package. However, meals at the hotel, other than breakfast, are not included.

All our tours are completely private, whether you book for one person or seven.

Tents and Rooming

On the Trek: A maximum of two people will share one tent within your group. Single tents are available upon request for an additional fee.
At the Hotel in Arusha: Room arrangements are based on group size and shared only within your group:
1 person: Single room
2 people: Double room
3 people: One single + one double room
4 people: Two double rooms
5 people: Two double + one single room
6 people: Three double rooms
7 people: Three double + one single room, and so on.
Only double/twin and single rooms will be used. Rooms are shared among your group members as per the package pricing. Single private rooms can be arranged for an extra cost if preferred.
